About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help customers finish their shopping experience with a quick, friendly checkout and support them in getting the best value. The role focuses primarily on register duties but may also involve answering questions, assisting with payments and exchanges, helping other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts as needed. Cashiers help maintain a clean and safe workstation and may work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.

Nice To Haves

• Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned, which may include helping other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts.
