About The Position

As a Front-end Associate at The Home Depot, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive and efficient checkout experience. You will proactively direct customers to open registers, support assisted check-outs, and accurately process transactions using our GET checkout process. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on helping others, enjoy making an impact, and are eager to learn and grow within the home improvement industry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1 to 2 years of retail or cash handling experience is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively.

Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.

Responsibilities

Proactively direct customers to open registers and support customers at assisted check-outs.
Process transactions accurately and timely by executing the GET checkout process.
Greet each customer, engage them during the transaction, and thank them for their business using the GET Involved approach.
Demonstrate knowledge of products and services and make appropriate suggestions to meet customer needs.
Treat all customers and associates in a sincere, appreciative manner.
Minimize time in the checkout line and acknowledge waiting customers.
Promote and recommend services such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental, and Pro Services.
Follow all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
Follow processes on the front-end designed to mitigate shrink and protect assets.
