About The Position
Join the Southern States team and help create a great experience for our customers! As a Part-Time Cashier, you'll be the face of the store, providing friendly service while accurately processing purchases, returns, and exchanges.
Requirements
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to learn point-of-sale systems and basic product knowledge
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to assist wherever needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Operating cash registers and processing transactions accurately
- Answering customer questions and recommending products when appropriate
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Assisting with stocking, merchandising, and other store tasks as needed
- Supporting fellow team members to ensure excellent customer service
