Cashier Part Time
About The Position
As a part-time Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist customers with questions, payments, and exchanges and help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe workstation in a fast-paced retail environment. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments, varying and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting requirements vary; associates must follow lift limits and use team lifts or powered equipment as appropriate and with proper training.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
