About The Position

Operates a cash register, processing payments to and from customers, visitors, patients, or employees.

Requirements

  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs - constantly exerting up to 10 lbs.
  • 26-50% of the day may be standing or walking.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6+ months related experience or training
  • ServSafe certification

Responsibilities

  • Carefully enters all sales into the cash register to ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded.
  • Makes change, accepts declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms of payment, and issues receipts to customers.
  • Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
  • Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion.
  • Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner.
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
  • Observe customer purchases in the café line to differentiate between standard portions.
  • Maintain, stock, and clean service areas as directed.
  • Collect and record temperatures of food, service, and display areas as directed.
  • Interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements. Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
  • Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
