About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you ensure customers leave with a positive impression by providing a quick, friendly, professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions and assisting with payments and exchanges in a fast-paced environment. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment as required, and receive proper training or assistance.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
