About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Seasonal Cashiers at our Brickyard location to join our team! As a Brickyard Cashier, you will be a key player in providing exceptional customer service while handling transactions and assisting customers with their purchases. This position is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and gain valuable skills while helping our customers with their projects! Seeking candidates who are available to work daytime, afternoon, and weekend hours. Applicants must be able to commit to 20–35 hours per week. This is a seasonal position expected to run through November, with the possibility of returning in the spring.

Requirements

Candidates must be 16 years of age.
Ability to lift 30 lbs. and occasionally heavier items.
Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
Attention to detail and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Positive attitude and willingness to help resolve customer complaints.

Customer service or cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process transactions using cash registers, scanners, and other electronics.
Sign up customers for the Preferred Customer Account and promote sales.
Ensure accurate pricing and transaction completion.
Balance cash register and generate sales reports.
Handle refunds, exchanges, and customer complaints with professionalism.
Package purchases securely and assist with loading.
Follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards, and item purchases.
Maintain an organized and tidy workspace and store environment.
Provide helpful product information and deliver excellent customer service.
Work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and assist customers.
Check inbound yard waste and perform other tasks as needed.
