About The Position
A Lowe’s cashier ensures every customer leaves the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. The role focuses primarily on register duties, including assisting with payments and exchanges, while also answering customer questions and supporting self-checkout. Cashiers may help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, or complete other duties as needed. The position involves maintaining a clean and safe workstation and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

- Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
- Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.

- Complete other duties as assigned; this may include helping other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts.
