About The Position

This role involves maintaining the cash drawer, performing cashier reconciliation, and ensuring accurate sales management. The cashier will conduct all activities accurately and safely, adhering to company guidelines. A key aspect of the role is providing exceptional guest service by being courteous, greeting, and thanking all customers. Responsibilities also include stocking merchandise, cleaning the store premises (pumps, bathrooms, displays), and accurately validating IDs for age-restricted product sales in compliance with federal law and company standards. The cashier will follow safety procedures and perform other tasks as assigned by the store manager. The company uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation.
• Ability to conduct all cashier activities accurately and safely, following company guidelines.
• Ability to provide exceptional guest service, being courteous and making eye contact.
• Ability to stock merchandise.
• Ability to clean pumps, bathrooms, and displays.
• Ability to accurately validate ID for age-restricted product sales.
• Knowledge of federal law and company standards on selling age-restricted products.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to perform other necessary tasks as assigned by store manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cash drawer and performing cashier reconciliation at each end of shift to ensure accurate management of sales.
• Conducting all cashier activities accurately and safely, while following company guidelines
• Providing exceptional guest service. Be courteous, always greet and thank all customers while making eye contact.
• Stocking all merchandise.
• Cleaning pumps/bathroom as well as broom/mop. Cleaning displays etc.
• Accurately validating ID prior to tobacco products sale. Following federal law and company standards on selling all age restricted products.
• Following safety procedures.
• Performing other necessary tasks as assigned by store manager.
