About The Position

The Cashier works in Food and Nutrition Services at Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time day position is scheduled for 40 hours. The role operates a computer-based register during meal service periods, handles cash in a high-volume setting, verifies cash drawer amounts before and after meal periods, and assists customers by resolving issues at the point of service. The cashier must communicate courteously and discreetly with visitors and employees and use sound judgment and organizational skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred. One year of relevant customer-service or high-volume cashier experience is required. A Food Handlers Certificate is required within 30 days.

Requirements

One year of relevant experience in customer service or as a cashier in a high-volume setting.
Food Handlers Certificate required within 30 days.
Ability to handle cash in a high-volume environment.
Ability to read, perform basic math, and communicate in written English.
Good communication and organizational skills, including the ability to exercise independent judgment.
Ability to be discreet and courteous when interacting with visitors and employees.

Nice To Haves

Computer skills are preferred.
