Custom House, a beloved local gem in Avila Beach, has recently reopened after an exciting refresh, and we’re looking to grow our strong, passionate team. Situated in the heart of Avila Beach, Custom House has been a cherished part of the community for years. With our newly updated space, we’ve modernized while keeping the charm that our loyal guests love. We’re seeking energetic, dependable, and service-focused individuals to join our team and help create exceptional guest experiences every day. Our Cashiers play a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring guests have a positive experience from the moment they walk in. We’re looking to grow our team and are seeking a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, counter-service environment. The right candidate will be passionate about great service, enjoy engaging with guests, and take pride in maintaining efficiency and accuracy at the register. The ideal applicant will have a friendly, approachable attitude and, ideally, experience working in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- A strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Excellent guest service skills, with the ability to create a positive, friendly experience for every guest.
- Physical stamina and strength to carry heavy trays, stand for extended periods, and keep up with the fast pace of a busy restaurant.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay calm, professional, and composed during high-pressure situations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Certification card, as required by law.
- A positive attitude and a strong desire to contribute to an outstanding guest experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a cashier is a plus, though not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant setting.
