Cashier Part Time
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping customers get the best value. Most of the work is at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions and assisting with payments and exchanges in a fast-paced environment. Travel is not regularly required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Requirements
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
- Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
