About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly, and professional checkout service and helping them get value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The position involves answering customer questions, helping with payments and exchanges, and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and can include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving equipment or objects. Lifting practices vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, and team lifts or powered equipment are used when appropriate and with required training or assistance.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
