About The Position

Our OUTLET STORE in TACOMA, WA store is seeking a Full Time Cashier! The Cashier is responsible for the operation of cash registers, providing customer service, and maintaining shelf stock. Requirements

1 -- 3 months of related experience and/or training
Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus
Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Cashier
Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships
Constantly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
Regularly required to walk
Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Will constantly lift 1-15 pounds, frequently lift 15-20 pounds, and occasionally up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

Operation of cash registers
Maintaining shelf stock; stocking the sales floor as needed and directed by store management
Answering phone inquiries
Maintain a safe/clean and well-merchandised store
Provide excellent customer service to a variety of customers
Follow Goodwill's cash handling policies and company procedures
Willing to be a team player in order to accomplish competitive deadlines and goals
