About The Position

Our OUTLET STORE in TACOMA, WA store is seeking a Full Time Cashier! The Cashier is responsible for the operation of cash registers, providing customer service, and maintaining shelf stock. Requirements

  • 1 -- 3 months of related experience and/or training
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus
  • Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Cashier
  • Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships
  • Constantly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Regularly required to walk
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Will constantly lift 1-15 pounds, frequently lift 15-20 pounds, and occasionally up to 40 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

Responsibilities

  • Operation of cash registers
  • Maintaining shelf stock; stocking the sales floor as needed and directed by store management
  • Answering phone inquiries
  • Maintain a safe/clean and well-merchandised store
  • Provide excellent customer service to a variety of customers
  • Follow Goodwill's cash handling policies and company procedures
  • Willing to be a team player in order to accomplish competitive deadlines and goals
