About The Position

The Cashier position at Bonanno's NY Pizza Kitchen DTS requires excellent attendance and schedule flexibility determined by business needs. During the 180-day introductory period, performance will be evaluated for areas of improvement, additional training, or potential employment dismissal. The role involves handling monetary transactions accurately, providing excellent guest service, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, touch, climb, lift, and read (see) for extended periods of time (8 hours+).
Must be able to regularly and safely lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing 25 lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes limited movement environment.
Must be able to maintain sanitation, food safety, and other food service environment requirements.
Must have English comprehension skills for purposes of safety, job instructions, policy, and guest service.

Responsibilities

Be in proper uniform at all times (nametag, pants, hat, etc.) and wear a clean uniform.
Be on time for all scheduled shifts; attendance is essential. Follow all CALL IN procedures if absent.
Handle monetary transactions accurately, including counting back change to the guest.
Follow all cash register and cash/credit card handling procedures.
Smile and greet all guests, thank everyone that orders, and invite them back.
Listen carefully to the guest, take and repeat orders.
Suggestively sell and explain coupons or other offers to guests.
Explain pager and numbering systems, where available.
Keep work area clean and neat; do not stock personal items on counters.
Keep display case clean, stocked, and fresh looking.
Follow side duties set forth by management.
Maintain English comprehension skills for safety, job instructions, policy, and guest service.
Clean as you go, as your area is the first area a guest sees.
