About The Position

As a part-time Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly, professional checkout service and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, move carts, or complete other duties as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment and helping customers with questions, payments, and exchanges. The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts when appropriate, and use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
