About The Position

The Dayton Convention Center (DCC) is the region's premier mid-sized event facility conveniently situated right in the heart of downtown Dayton. Located within a 600-mile radius of close to 70% of the nation’s population and steps from the vibrant Oregon Entertainment District, the 150,000 sq. ft. DCC offers 77,000 sq. ft of column-free exhibition space and 22 meeting rooms including a 750 seat, full stage theater. Managed by Legends & ASM Global and owned and developed by the Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority, the DCC is in the process of completing a major renovation to its facility that will serve to reinforce its status as the venue of choice for the region. Summary Legends/ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Concessions Cashier. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for taking orders and receiving payment at various food stations.

Requirements

• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must have ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be willing to learn simple concession machine operations
• Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
• Must be able to pass credit background check.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, irregular hours may exist.
• Must be able to balance and have good manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

• Alcohol Awareness Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up concession stand prior to opening with condiments, napkins, utensils, etc.
• Take costumer orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Operate cash resister which includes punching in orders, taking cash/credit cards and giving customer appropriate change.
• Organize and serve customers with food ordered in a timely manner.
• Establish and maintain positive client/customer relationships.
• Clean and maintain Concession stands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
