About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value for their money. Most of the role is spent at the register, assisting with customer questions, payments, and exchanges. As needed, you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.

Nice To Haves

• Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
