About The Position
As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied by providing a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You assist customers with questions, payments, and exchanges, and help them get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, though you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role suits someone who enjoys helping customers and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment when required and properly trained, and may work with a trained coworker for assistance.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the applicable state.
