About The Position
This is a part-time Cashier position at Mathis Home. Responsibilities
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards and financing
- Count till (cash) bags at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying that all transactions were done correctly and till balances at the end of each shift
- Maintain the front office appearance by keeping everything neat and clean
- File the daily invoices
- Call the bank on all out of state checks and temporary checks to verify that the checks will clear
- Call the finance company to verify information on customers account (balance due, account balance, available credit)
- Copy and match all finance approvals
- Process special orders and handwritten tickets
- Take account payments for fabric checkouts or other misc. payments
- Perform any other duties as directed by management
