About The Position

ECI Management Group is looking for a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Cashier to join our food service team. The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area.

Requirements

Must have strong customer-service and communication skills.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Must be comfortable handling money and using a POS system.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal food-service duties.
Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Must be able to follow food-safety and workplace-safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Operate the Toast POS system and accurately process cash, credit/debit card, and other transactions.
Ensure all orders are entered and charged correctly.
Handle cash responsibly and follow all cash-handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier and front-service area.
Stock cups, lids, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other supplies as needed.
Assist with grab-and-go items and other food service duties when needed.
Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures.
Follow all ECI Management Group and campus policies and procedures.
Work as part of the team and assist coworkers during busy periods.
Complete opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Report POS, equipment, customer service, or cash-handling issues to management.
