About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping customers get good value. Most of the role is spent at the register, assisting with payments and exchanges, answering questions, and supporting customers in the self-checkout area. As needed, you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe workstation and working in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores, though regular travel is not required. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts when needed, and use powered equipment only with proper training or trained assistance.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
