About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get good value. Most of the work is at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves assisting customers with questions, payments, and exchanges in a fast-paced retail environment. Travel is not regular, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor weather, varying and sometimes extreme temperatures, damp or windy environments, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance, and use team lifts when needed.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
