About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our food service team. The Cashier will provide excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions and helping create a welcoming experience for students, staff, and guests.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Dependable and punctual
• Friendly and professional attitude
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Ability to learn and operate a POS system
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work efficiently during busy meal periods
• Strong teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions
• Operate the POS system efficiently
• Answer customer questions about menu items and pricing
• Provide fast and friendly service during busy meal periods
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station
• Stock cups, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other supplies
• Assist with grab-and-go items and beverage areas as needed
• Follow proper cash-handling procedures
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
• Keep dining and service areas clean and presentable
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist other team members as needed
