About The Position

AC&T is seeking Cashiers for various openings within their 17 stores. The primary goal is to serve customers promptly, courteously, and friendly, enhancing the AC&T image and making every shopping experience profitable and pleasurable.

Requirements

Be at least eighteen years of age or have a work permit.
Be able to speak, read, understand, and write the English language.
Be able to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for product numbers.
Have sufficient visual sharpness to check customer identification.
Be able to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, carrying cases of milk cartons, soft drinks, beer, and juice containers at least once per shift.
Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
Be able to serve food out of a food case kept at a minimum of 140 degrees F.
Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 20 pounds and moving it to the fire area.
Be able to bend to pull up a metal plate weighing 20 pounds from the underground storage tank.
Be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
Be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 38 degrees up to 15 minutes at a time.
Be able to communicate by telephone and/or store intercom.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when and if necessary.

Responsibilities

Maintain proper customer relations and service.
Maintain contact with the Store Manager.
Maintain authorized store hours.
Adhere to all store procedures and policies, including security, reporting procedures, and check cashing.
Maintain inventory control.
Maintain all monies and ensure the safekeeping of equipment, store records, and other AC&T property.
Maintain vendor control during the shift.
Adhere to guidelines set by the Manager that are not contrary to Company policies.
Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store.
Follow state and federal laws concerning the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
Follow state and federal laws concerning lottery ticket sales and redemption.
Adhere to State regulations in regards to food service.
Abide by all Company rules and regulations.
Report all emergencies or accidents to the store Manager immediately.
Clean bathrooms, including floors, sinks, and toilets.
Clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store.
Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and lift and carry out trash containers.
