About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied by providing quick, friendly, and professional checkout service. You assist with payments, exchanges, customer questions, and self-checkout. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving equipment.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts and powered equipment are used as appropriate, with required training or assistance.
