About The Position

Lowe's cashiers provide a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience so customers leave the store satisfied. Most work is performed at the register, assisting with payments, exchanges, customer questions, and self-checkout. Associates may also help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, and perform other assigned duties. The role is part-time and may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions can vary by location and include indoor and outdoor weather, varying climates, noise, and moving equipment.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.

• Help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
