About The Position

Columbus Ace Hardware is adding a cashier! The ideal candidate can work some daytime hours, but is also available to work until 7pm. Some weekends are required. This is a part-time position. Get paid daily! We’ve partnered with DailyPay to offer employees more control over their earnings!!! The responsibilities of the Ace Hardware Cashier is to scan the customer’s selections, ensure that the prices and quantities are accurate, accept payment, issue receipts, answer inquiries, provide helpful information to customers about products, promotions, item location and some stocking. Cashiers also respond to complaints with genuine concern, assist the Store Director in creating a positive store atmosphere for customers and a positive working environment for Associates while working in a safe manner.

Ability to multi-task
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and associates.
Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).

Responsibilities

Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction

Maintains customer satisfaction by providing solutions to concerns
Performs product scanning and processing of customer's orders in an accurate, efficient, and prompt manner
Ensures proper handling of all forms of tender and coupons
Packages customer purchases in an organized fashion
Keeps work station and surrounding area clean, organized and well stocked
Performs fixed activities as assigned by supervisor
Follows all store and department policies and procedures
Follows safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
