About The Position

HomeSense is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team! As a cashier, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience by welcoming customers, providing excellent service, and ensuring every transaction is handled accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Friendly, positive, and approachable personality
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable handling cash and operating a register
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
Ability to work effectively with both customers and fellow associates
Flexible and dependable with scheduling
Open availability Monday through Sunday is required
Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred, but not required
Must meet applicable minimum age requirements; 18+ preferred

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, engaging customer service at the register and throughout the store
Accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges while following company procedures
Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and responsibly
Promote HomeSense credit and loyalty programs
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area
Assist with merchandise recovery and maintaining the sales floor when needed
Follow all company policies and procedures, including operational, safety, and loss-prevention standards
Work collaboratively with fellow associates and supervisors
Provide and accept constructive feedback with a positive attitude
Help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for customers and associates
Perform other duties as assigned
