About The Position

As a part-time Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role is suited to someone who enjoys helping customers and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Work may take place indoors or outdoors and involve changing weather conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used only as required with proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.

Responsibilities

Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
