About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping customers get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor conditions, extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, and team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used when required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
