About The Position
Woodward ACE Hardware is seeking a Part-Time Cashier for their Woodward, OK location. This retail position requires individuals to be willing to work evenings and weekends. The primary responsibilities include operating the point-of-sale system, greeting customers, providing excellent customer service, staying informed about store promotions, understanding store layout, cleaning and stocking merchandise, following store procedures for opening and closing, and answering the telephone.
Requirements
- Ability to count change back
- Professional telephone skills
- Knowledge of merchandise
- Attention to detail, accuracy is key
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
- Retail cashier experience is a plus
- Ability to operate office machines, computers, and Excel is a plus
Responsibilities
- Run POS (point of sale) register
- Greeting customers upon entry of store
- Customer Service (help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner)
- Keep up with store promotions and special events
- Understanding store layout and location of products
- Cleaning and stocking impulse and endcap merchandise
- Following store procedures, opening and closing
- Answer telephone
- Help load merchandise for customers
- Help check in freight
- Organize point of purchase material, maintain bin tags, shelf labels, and peg hooks
