About The Position

The Cashier is responsible for providing efficient, accurate, and friendly checkout service while serving as one of the final touchpoints in the customer's shopping experience. This role processes transactions accurately, maintains a balanced cash drawer, and ensures customers are greeted and assisted professionally.

Responsibilities

Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
Process cash, credit, debit, gift card, and other payment transactions in accordance with company procedures
Positively represent the Stoltzfus Meats culture to all guests and customers.
Maintain an accurate and balanced cash drawer throughout each shift
Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to every guest
Accurately scan, weigh, and price merchandise
Verify product codes and pricing when necessary
Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy
Monitor front-end inventory such as bags, receipt paper, and supplies
Support overall store operations as needed during peak business periods
