About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking a Part-Time Cashier to provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for customers. This role involves using computerized cash register systems, handling money, bagging orders, assisting customers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area. The position requires accuracy, basic math skills, and the ability to memorize product codes and specials. Foodland has been a locally owned and operated business in Hawaii for over 75 years, committed to providing exceptional food and shopping experiences.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must successfully pass math test
Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
TB Clearance required
Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Accuracy and basic math skills are important
Ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials

Nice To Haves

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred
Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps

Responsibilities

Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems
Handling and counting money
Bagging customers' orders
Helping shoppers find items in the store
Assisting in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
Taking “return” products back to proper shelf locations
Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
Resolving service and product related customer service issues
Providing outstanding customer service
Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
Abiding by all company policies and procedures
Performing other duties and assignments as directed
