About The Position
Rockingham Cooperative is seeking a hardworking and effective team player to join their family at the Stuarts Draft Ace location. This position greets and acknowledges all customers in a friendly and professional manner and is responsible for all duties related to superior customer service. Rockingham Cooperative has been in business since 1921 and is Virginia's oldest member-owned Cooperative. They are retail farm and consumer products stores with multiple locations across Virginia.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Proven ability to interact well with others and offer great customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Requires climbing, stooping, bending, and crawling frequently.
- Understand basic computer programs and learn systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Render prompt service to all customers.
- Operate cash register and point of sale system.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Answer telephones.
- Keep sales area stocked with merchandise, including pricing, dating, and displaying.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the register area.
- Assist in other areas which may include stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise and keeping the area neat, clean, and orderly.
- Attend store meetings and training sessions.
- Gain new product knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
