About The Position

Smokey Mo’s has all your Texas BBQ favorites--from the tenderest brisket and ribs, to mouth-watering turkey, to our signature jalapeño sausage that has just a little kick. On top of that, we’ve got our homestyle sides, including award-winning beans, which are nothing short of cravable. Our mission is to serve great tasting BBQ in a friendly way that keeps ‘em coming back. We are looking for hard-working, polite, friendly individuals to add to our Team. Requirements

Must have a Food Handler's permit and TABC certification.
Must be able to attend shifts according to schedule and in proper uniform.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
Must be able to reach, bend, squat, stoop, shake, carry, push and lift items throughout the shift.
Must be able to follow instructions and perform duties accurately and efficiently.
Must have effective hearing for accurate communication.

Responsibilities

Interact with Guests in order to create a positive experience for them with warm, southern hospitality.
Take Guest orders accurately and ensure order accuracy.
Properly follow cash handling procedures.
Prepare Sides and Condiments by accurately and efficiently following Smokey Mo’s recipes with a minimum of waste.
Maintain proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain proper portion controls.
Keep your station and the restaurant clean, performing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
Help other positions and areas depending on the needs for that day.
Help each other as part of the team to make Smokey Mo’s a success.
