About The Position

This is a seasonal cashier position with Gertens, running through April and May with an anticipated end date of June 1st. The role is ideal for individuals looking to earn extra income during the spring season. Candidates should be available to start ASAP and prior to May 1st, working 3+ days a week for 4-6 hour shifts, including weekends and mid-day hours (10 am-5 pm).

Requirements

Previous customer service or cashier experience.
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Candidates must be 16+ years of age to apply.
A positive, energetic attitude and excellent communication skills.
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
A strong attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional customer shopping experience, leaving guests feeling inspired and eager to return.
Operate cash registers, scanners, and other electronics to complete transactions with accuracy.
Promote and register customers for Rewards accounts and add-on sales.
Ensure prices and quantities are correct, while bagging purchases with care.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and help with store/yard upkeep.
Assist customers with product details, promotions, and store layout information.
Work independently, solve problems, and work well in a team environment.
Assist with lifting up to 50 lbs, and other physical tasks as needed.
