About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly, professional checkout service and helping them get value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions, assisting with payments and exchanges, and helping maintain a clean, safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines, use powered equipment as required, and have proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Pay is $15.50–$16.15 per hour; starting pay may vary based on factors including position, location, education, training, and experience. Applications are accepted on a continuing basis.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
