Cashier Part Time
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout service and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions, handling payments and exchanges, and helping maintain a clean and safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required. Work may take place indoors and outdoors, with possible exposure to changing weather and temperatures, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts when needed, and use powered equipment only with appropriate training or assistance.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
