This position is part-time (24+ hours) and casual, with evening and weekend availability strongly preferred. Candidates with open availability will be prioritized. The role involves providing fast, friendly, and accurate check-out services, handling money, bagging orders, assisting customers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area. Accuracy, basic math skills, and the ability to memorize product codes and specials are important. The position also includes performing cash audits, resolving customer issues, and maintaining personal appearance according to company standards.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
- Accuracy and basic math skills
- Ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials

Responsibilities
- Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers
- Using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
- Bagging customers' orders and helping shoppers find items in the store
- Assisting in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
- Taking “return” products back to proper shelf locations
- Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
- Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
- General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
- Resolving service and product related customer service issues
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
- Abiding by all company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed
