About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, move carts, or perform other duties as needed. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and helping customers with questions, payments, and exchanges. The role does not require regular travel, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment as required, and receive proper training or assistance when needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
