This part-time position involves providing fast, friendly, and accurate check-out services for customers, handling money, bagging orders, and assisting shoppers. The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness of the check stands and surrounding areas, handling returned products, and ensuring accuracy in transactions. Memorizing product codes and weekly specials is important, as is weighing, scanning, and bagging orders. A cash audit of the assigned drawer is also a responsibility. The position requires outstanding customer service, adherence to company policies, and a neat personal appearance.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
- Accuracy and basic math skills
- Ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials

Responsibilities
- Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers
- Using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
- Bagging customers' orders and helping shoppers find items in the store
- Assisting in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
- Taking “return” products back to proper shelf locations
- Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
- Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
- General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
- Resolving service and product related customer service issues
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
- Abiding by all company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed
