About The Position

Final Markdown has been open for a year and is going strong as a growing retail establishment! We focus on liquidating products that cannot be sold through regular retail channels. This includes scratch and dent, overstock, customer returns, and salvage consumer products. We are always looking to grow our team with energetic, self-motivated individuals who are interested in growing with us. We need team members with a positive attitude, a track record of honesty and integrity, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a leadership customer service position
  • Good knowledge of how cash registers operate
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Proven history of honesty and integrity
  • Able to work independently with little instruction
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization's goals and objectives
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and supervising Cashier employees
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Receiving payments and issuing receipts
  • Keeping track of all cash and credit transactions
  • Successfully execute store opening and closing procedures
  • Lead, train, and support cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and smooth daily operations
  • Receive payments from customers and issue receipts
  • Track and balance all cash and credit transactions within the respective cash register
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs or answer any questions
  • Count money accurately and efficiently
  • Operate the cash register and point-of-sale systems
  • Use computers for basic daily tasks
  • Answer customer questions and provide excellent service
  • Assist with stocking merchandise and organizing products on the sales floor
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a neat, safe, and welcoming store environment
  • Be the "go to" person for cashier inquires and mediating when necessary
  • Process customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and courteous manner
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to returns and exchanges
  • Maintain accurate records of all returns and exchanges
  • Monitor the sales floor
  • Converse with customers and provide service
  • Monitor the store for potential theft, including observing customers and reviewing security footage
  • Train other employees on theft prevention and returns processes
  • All other duties as assigned
