Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail supervisory or management capacity
  • Previous knowledge or work-related experience in garden center products such as plants or landscape materials is required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills demonstrated.
  • Good technical knowledge including POS, Window’s and Excel.
  • Demonstrated strength in employee relations, problem solving and customer service.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • High energy level with the ability to provide strong leadership, train, delegate and motivate staff.
  • Personal documented history of exceptional performance at Bachman’s and track record of supporting company management, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the assigned store operations and directly supervising the retail operations as assigned by the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Train and model exceptional customer service.
  • Merchandising, ordering, stocking, displaying, inventory control of product.
  • Provide daily supervision and work directly through a participative management style by encouraging a teamwork environment that meets customer expectations.
  • Perform required administrative functions on a timely basis: schedules, reviews, and timecards
  • Manage product quality and communication needs to appropriate buyers.
  • Provide feedback to support departments.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the store.
  • Manage the entire store’s operation in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
