Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years cashier experience
Must have strong customer service skills and a great attitude
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously by effectively prioritizing and organizing assignments
Ability to use 10-key and utilize a copy machine to scan, copy and fax documents
Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Ability to sit and stand for duration of shift, up to 8 hours

Responsibilities

Verifies cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of shift
Processes customer payments by ticket received from Scale Operator; pays customers by cash or check for scrap sold
Maintains checkout operations by following DPS and Metal Recycling Entity policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Enters A/P Freight Invoices into database
Assists customers with Cash Card applications
Answers incoming calls and answers questions/transfers calls as needed. Takes messages and routes incoming calls to appropriate point of contact
Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
Performs other duties as assigned
