About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate helps keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and running smoothly while providing friendly customer service. The role includes operating the register, handling regulated sales responsibly, stocking merchandise, maintaining store and exterior areas, and assisting other departments as needed. Associates should be comfortable doing hands-on cleaning and working indoors and outdoors in all weather. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to work hard and remain on their feet for most of a shift.
Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and adaptable.
Must be ready to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly service and upsell when appropriate.
Clean and maintain the store interior and exterior, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and parking lot areas.
Remove trash and litter and take trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Assist teammates and help wherever needed.
