Cashier/Sales Associate - Store 4304
About The Position
Sales Associates serve customers, operate the register, and help keep the store clean, inviting, safe, and running smoothly. The role includes selling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while following age-verification and legal requirements; providing friendly service and upselling when appropriate; stocking merchandise; and cleaning both indoor and outdoor areas, including restrooms, gas pumps, and the parking lot. Associates may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures, company policies, and help teammates as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work hard and remain on their feet for most of a shift.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, responsible, and adaptable.
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Sell lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
- Keep indoor and outdoor store areas clean and safe, including deep-cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking trash to the dumpster.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help teammates and take on tasks wherever needed.
