About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly. The role includes selling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements; providing friendly service and upselling; cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, and entryways; collecting and disposing of trash; and stocking shelves, coolers, and displays. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including deli, and are expected to assist the team wherever needed. The posting describes a part-time opening with open availability across shifts. Listed availability includes 6 a.m.–12 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5 p.m.–12 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and any shift on weekends. The position requires weekend and holiday availability, working indoors and outdoors in all weather, and being on one's feet for most of a shift. The listed pay rate is $10.75 per hour. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Be prepared to work on one's feet for most of a shift and indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
Sell lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when appropriate.
Deep-clean high-use restrooms.
Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps, including nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
Pick up litter and trash from floors and the lot area, and take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways to keep the store clean and organized.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Help teammates and step in wherever needed.
