About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and outdoor areas; taking out trash in all weather; and maintaining shelves, coolers, and displays. Associates may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Able to work on feet for most of a shift and indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and adaptable.
Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
Clean and maintain indoor and outdoor store areas, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and parking lot areas.
Take trash to the dumpster in varying weather conditions.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Work as a team member and help wherever needed.
