About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly. The role includes handling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements; providing friendly service and upselling when possible; cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, including restrooms, gas pumps, entryways, and the parking lot; stocking shelves, coolers, and displays; and cross-training in other departments, including deli, as needed. The associate follows safety procedures and company policies and assists the team wherever needed. The job requires working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and being on one’s feet for most of the shift. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work on one’s feet for most of the shift and indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctuality, trustworthiness, and a responsible attitude toward work.
- Flexibility and ability to take on varied tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
- Deep-clean high-use restrooms.
- Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps, including nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
- Pick up litter and trash from the store floor and lot area.
- Take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways and other store areas.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help the team wherever needed.
